He is Faithful
A Declaration
The Lord is great and greatly to be praised. He heals the wounds of every shattered heart. He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love him and keep his commandments. If we are faithless, he remains faithful. He cannot deny himself.
Who is like God, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? All his work is done in faithfulness. He is Sovereign and whatever he says will be fulfilled. God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should repent. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not make it good? For what God is there in heaven or on earth who can do anything like his works and mighty deeds? Not one of his good promises to Israel failed. Every one was fulfilled.
Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me! I am fully convinced that what he has promised, he will do. He who sits on a white horse is called Faithful and True. He judges in righteousness and watches over his Word to perform it. I hold fast the confession of my hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. For with him, nothing shall be impossible.
Blessed be the Lord God, who dwells between the cherubim! The worlds were framed by his word. He is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those who trust in him. He is my praise, my God who has done great and awesome things, which my eyes have seen. He is the One who has fed me all my life long to this day. His way is perfect and he has only begun to show me his greatness. For who is God, except the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God?
